About the Author
Henrik Holmer is an independent researcher and writer, born in Stockholm, Sweden. He holds master's degrees in business administration and economics, with additional academic studies in the history of ideas. His professional background includes 18 years in the finance industry, where his work involved research and analytical writing—skills that have proven useful in studying, writing about, and teaching lucid dreaming.
Henrik decided to learn lucid dreaming in midlife simply because he wanted to see if anyone could do it. Through curiosity and deliberate practice, he became a lucid dreamer—a journey that later inspired him to help others discover the same ability.
Over the past several years, he has devoted much of his time to researching lucid dreaming, psychology, and neuroscience, often making connections to philosophy, history, and evolutionary theory. This work has been driven by personal curiosity and a desire to better understand the human mind and consciousness. His study of these topics has been outside of academia, but it has always been research-based, guided by evidence and healthy skepticism, grounded in academic literature, and combined with first-hand experience—including thousands of recorded dreams and hundreds of lucid experiences.
